Frequently asked questions.

What will my first visit be like?

During our first visit we will review your medical history and talk about what brings you to physical therapy. We will perform a physical exam to assess your strength, motion, posture and function, as well as assess any injury you may have. We will discuss your goals for treatment, and develop a treatment plan that will address your specific goals. You will want to wear/bring loose comfortable clothes. Appointments are typically an hour in length.

Do I need a physician referral?

No, the state of Massachusetts is a Direct Access state, which means patients can access licensed physical therapy services without a physician referral. Some insurance companies require a physician referral, so if you are seeking insurance reimbursement, a referral may be required. Contact your insurance’s member services to determine their requirements.

How do I make an appointment?

You can book an appointment online , or call 781-367-1841. Please leave a voicemail and your call should be returned that day.

Do you take my insurance?

We are an out-of-network practice for insurance companies. This means that we are not restricted by insurance requirements on your care. We are able to offer high quality care without restrictions on duration or length of your plan of care.

This allows for a highly personalized and high quality patient care. You won’t be treated by an assistant, and have the full attention of your licensed therapist for the entire session. You will be able to communicate with your therapist in between sessions for further education and resources. These aspects of care result in better and faster results.

We give a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
